3D Layout / Previs Artist
UPP Advertising is looking for a skilled and passionate Layout Artist who would help us build 3D scenes for high-end commercials, videogame trailers and music videos.
This is a technical role, where your primary responsibility will be building shots and sequences out of published assets, and making everything ready for lighting artists. Your 3D scenes are expected to be consistent throughout the project, easy to iterate and efficient for rendering.
We are on the lookout for candidates that will be able to work full-time and in-house in our award-winning studio located in beautiful Prague, Czechia.
Your skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years in VFX industry
- Advanced knowledge of Houdini (SOP, VOP, VEX)
- Technical knowledge for building efficient layout scenes; ability to follow the studio workflows and procedures, so your outputs can be used by other artists down the line
- Ability to organize and prioritize your own tasks, make technical decisions and communicate them effectively and respectfully to supervisors and other 3D artists
- Reliability and ability to work in fast-paced environment, and meet tight deadlines
Bonus points:
- Advanced knowledge of Maya, Blender and/or Unreal Engine
- Ambition to grow into, or readiness for a leadership role is highly valued
- Scripting experience is a considerable plus
- Experience with other VFX disciplines is a plus, especially camera tracking or lighting
