Columbia "Moving Out" (VFX Breakdown)

Columbia makes winter-wear that literally pulls you out into the snowy fun. But there is no snow in the spring and, sadly, jackets do not come to life in the real world. We solved both of these issues with our CG magic. In order to achieve this, our VFX supervisor shot reference takes on set with real rigged and puppeteered jackets in addition to standard lighting HDR, reference movement/action plates with actor-interaction on synchronised multi-angle witness cameras. We also acquired photogrammetry data of sets/locations for proper implementation of CG elements/extensions. Add all of that together and you get this spot!
